When Weight Overshadows Your Music

The article Christina Aguilera Slams False "Skinny, White Girl" Quotes, Never Made Weight Comments   written by Alyssa Toomey talks about an interview Christina Augilera did with Billboard magazine and the interviewer put false quotes in the article. They falsely accused her of saying in the article she doesn't want to be the "skinny, white girl” and how her label had a problem with her gaining weight.

The article has quotes by Christina Aguilera. She is stated saying "the comments are fake," and she also said some things about her new album "this album represents a celebration of the new me," she went on to tell Billboard magazine “and to me the Lotus has always represented this unbreakable flower that withstands any harsh weather conditions in its surroundings, that withstands time and remains beautiful and strong throughout the years."

I think people should leave Christina Augilera alone about her weight. If she wants to get bigger she can, she had a child that could put weight on you and she might not have gotten around to exercising the weight off yet. Also, if she is happy about her body no one else opinion should matter.

I can connect this to me because people always say I've gotten bigger or I’m too thin. Who is anybody to tell me how my body is I’m happy the way I am and that’s all that matters. This article made me realize people in this world will always talk about you. Period.

  1. Good post. Do you think celebrity news sites have become too obsessed with stars' weight? Is this something that should not be talked about in the press? 95
